Located in the second oldest commercial structure on the historic public square of Dahlonega, GA, The Crimson Moon offers a rare opportunity to be up close and personal with the artists who perform on our stage. The heart-pine floors, walls and ceilings of our c.1858 Concert Hall Dining Room offer amazing acoustics where up to 105 patrons can be seated five to forty feet of the stage - a distance usually fought over or unattainable at larger venues. When the concert’s over, our patrons leave with both the memorable experience of enjoying a true ‘listening room' and the pleasure of dining - or just being well entertained and enjoying a hot cup of coffee or a satisfying cold drink - in one of most unique destinations points in the Southeastern U.S.!

Our eclectic full-service menu offers a 'New South' focus with everal Vegan and Gluten-Free options. Most menu items are ‘Moon Made’, Brunch is served every day and there are a variety of dining and drinking atmospheres, upstairs or down. Our cozy Coffee House features hand crafted organic/shade grown and fairly traded coffee drinks, a friendly bar and a comfy couch. Our ‘step back in time’ decorated Half Moon Saloon offers a nice variety of beer and wine, as well as hand-crafted cocktails, with cozy couches and a private dining room, as well as ‘at the bar’ or outdoor ‘on the porch’ seating. Our main floor Concert Hall dining area accommodates nearly 95 people, for food, drink, and/or live music - with lots of seating for larger parties!

In 16 years of operation The Crimson Moon’s stage has hosted top tier acts and the best of local talent, performing mostly acoustic and original music in a ticketed ‘dinner theatre’ style concert setting. The most renown of these include the Indigo Girls, Darrell Scott, Amy Ray, Shawn Mullins, Emily Sailers, Lee Roy Parnell, Rory Block, The Greencards, John Cowan, The Gibson Brothers, Bryan White, Casey James, Michael Cleveland & The Flame Keepers, Claire Lynch, Kevn Kinney, The Burrito Brothers, Col. Bruce Hampton, Marshall Crenshaw & The Bottle Rockets, Cracker, John Gorka, Buddy Jewell, Billy Dean, John McCutcheon, Chuck Cannon, Lari White, Sierra Hull, EmiSunshine, Michelle Malone, Whiskey Gentry Trio, Chely Wright, Callaghan, and Billy Strings - truly making 'The Moon' one of the Southeast's 'premier' music venues!

We also host free Sunday afternoon Jams open for anyone with some talent to join as well as 'Thirsty Thursday' Open Mic Nites - and our monthly Paint & Sips and fun-filled Boomers Gone Wild events are very popular with locals. All of this contributes to the widely acclaimed reputation of The Crimson Moon as being the most ‘happening’ music venue between Atlanta and Asheville, Chattanooga, Birmingham or Greenville!

The venue is also a memorable place to host a variety of private events. Whether it be a wedding party, birthday party, or business gathering, our Concert Hall , stage and professional sound system offer a unique setting for gathering of up to 80 people, and our 2nd floor's Half Moon Saloon and fresh air porch is perfect for groups of up to 50 people, with its own entrance and restroom.
